In the world class environment of the Catholic faith, the Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Academy is a community which serves students from various backgrounds. Our goal is to prepare them to become productive citizens by nourishing their spiritual growth, developing academic and personal excellence through inquiry, and teaching reliance on God and their inner strengths.
Under the leadership of the Church, the faculty, staff, students, and parents work together to develop Christian value systems in young people, and to build community in all areas of life. The philosophy of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Academy is to enable all learners to become reflective and balanced inquirers, thinkers, and problem solvers who strive for college and career readiness through enhanced spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional growth.
The Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Academy Community believes:
Education should be geared toward the whole child. Gospel values and student-centered education are core foundations to character development in our students. It is vital for these values to be modeled and demonstrated by those of us who provide our students education foundation.
All children have the ability to learn and experience success through practical application. In order for them be successful, children must believe that they can achieve. When we meet our obligation to serve students – nurturing and developing them in a structured and safe educational environment, providing them with essential learning tools, and offering varied teaching styles to meet individual needs – all children can experience success.
Parents are our children’s first teachers. Providing parents with tools and resources to support and assist the children we serve is the responsibility of the school community.
Students, parents and teachers must be life-long learners in order to reach their fullest potential. Thus, high levels of accountability are critical. Children respond positively to high expectations; they should be responsible and held accountable for their actions.
